The Amazing Spiderman 2 : Review from a disappointed Fan !!
Directed by Marc Webb (500 days of Summer & The Amazing Spiderman 1) the movie was made at a whopping $250 million, surpassing "Man of Steel" in terms of production budget.
The movie features the following list of actors in main/ supporting roles :
1.) Andrew Garfield as Spiderman (Definitely the puniest Superhero)
2.) Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy (has the most disgusting expressions sometimes, but still has an attractive appeal)
3.) Jamie Foxx as Electro ! (No idea why he signed up for this movie)
4.) Dane DeHaan as Green Goblin (Promising talent)
5.) Felicity Jones as Felicia (Who is she in the movie !!)
6.) Sally Field as the boring Aunt May
& Paul Giamatti as ***** (The worst character ever portrayed by him in his career)
Review :
1.) Acting
Andrew Garfield delivers a definitive performance as the webbed Superhero. He along with Emma Stone have scorched the screens with their real life chemistry. The most promising performance was from Dane DeHaan who portrays the character of Harry Osborn/Green Goblin. He is quite young, but seems very comfortable playing this bipolar-ish character. I'm really wondering which part of their role in the movie made Jamie Foxx & Paul Giamatti sign up for this movie. I can atleast understand Jamie's choice as he plays the main nemesis. But Paul Giamatti as Rhino !! WTF !!
2.) Music
Hans Zimmer is the perfect choice for a Superhero movie. He has done a good job with the Intro theme and love scenes.
3.) Visual Effects & Cinematography
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !! This is the real winner in the movie !
4.) Direction
Marc Webb has a great taste for Production design, locations and Romance. Though many have criticized the over dosage of romance in this movie, I think he has done a good job. He is one of the few good directors known for Romance but he has gone awry with the Screenplay & Storyline for this movie. I still don't think he is the right choice for a Superhero movie !! I hope he understands that Superhero flick lovers are not dumb enough to be satisfied with Visual Effects. Audience primarily expect a good story line combined with style and effects, which is where Christopher Nolan and Sam Raimi have done a good job. Frankly, I am not interested to see 2 other sequels coming in 2016 and 2018.
On the whole, apart from the Visual effects, there is nothing AMAZING about this Spiderman flick !!

I'm already clueless, how Jamie Foxx transformed into Electricity after being bitten by Electric eels !! I also wonder how he developed a new middle tooth after being bitten??
