Billa - serious spoof of the original

Billa 2007 should'nt have been made. I feel its a bad attempt of the original one. Vishnuvardhan, the director fails completely in his new flick. he shouldve changed the script to new times like Sharukh's "Don" , which was fantabulous. Ajith's screen presence brings irritation @ one point of the film. He keeps walking,walking,walking,walking throughout the movie. Vishnu told in a press conference before the release ,that it would meet bond style. i want to make one thing clear , The greatness in Bond movies not only lies in the lavish sets or the aston martin cars or the sensuous bond girls or the gun shoots & car chases , but also in the serious sript it has within . But Vishnuvardhan concentrates only to show everyone in the film in costly coats and jaguar cars , that too specifying the Rolex , jaguar brand names is really cheap. That is not the way a director shows the audience of the richness in his film. Rather it should also be rich in its logic,script & edge-of-the-seat climax, which completely lacks in this movie. Nayanthara looks worse than ever.. Ajit does'nt present himself like an international don , but rather like a local gangster.

When a film is being remade , it has to look better than the original and also better tha old logic. But the new Billa only looks better in style & not in logic. The film's savior is Yuvan with his always brilliant songs for Vishnu & Nirav Sha with his breathtaking cinematography ......

On the whole Vishnu,Ajith,Nayanthara prove that it was a bad decision to remake a yesteryear Superhit..
